We did a piece yesterday on the Audi TT-RS teaser images released by Audi ahead of the TT-RS launch at Geneva in March. But now we’ve got some more pictures, even though they are not official Audi releases (excuse the less than normal quality). It would make much more sense for car makers to stop teasing and do things properly.
Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2
If you know anything at all about Lamborghini’s, it won’t take too long to work out that this will be a 550hp V10, but with 2-wheel drive instead of the 4-wheel drive we ‘ve got used to in recent years. So think of this as a hardcore drivers Gallardo – a Superleggera. Dropping the 4WD will shed a chunk of weight, and change the dynamic of the car from the LP560-4.
Hyundai Veloster to get new 204bhp Turbo
When Hyundai revealed details of the Veloster Coupe – the successor to the successful Hyundai Coupe – we found lots we liked and, really, just on thing we didn’t – its paucity of power. All the new Veloster had to offer was the 138bhp 1.6 litre GDI petrol which, although quite frugal, didn’t exactly light a fire of desire for the Veloster in the way we would have liked. So when we reported a couple of weeks ago that Hyundai had revealed a couple of new engines in Korea – a 204bhp turbo and a 150bhp diesel – we rather hoped that Hyundai would see fit to bolt both in to the Veloster sooner rather than later.
